Bush has completely lost it!

Once again I'm convinced that President Bush is a complete nutcase! Today he announced that he wants to send 20,000 more troops to Iraq.
See: http://edition.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/10/iraq.bush/index.html

What the hell for? Are these troops to replace all those that have died already? How on earth did that Bush get into the White House? Going back to the 2004 presidential election, how could 62,040,610 people have been so stupid?

I really hope the new Democrat congress can block this new move by Bush and bring the troops home!

Great day in American politics!

Two emails came through to me today from CNN Breaking News:

"Congress convened today with Democrats in control of both the House and Senate for the first time in a dozen years."

"California Democrat Nancy Pelosi has become the first woman to be elected speaker of the United States House of Representatives."

Isn't it great to have the Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate in the States after so long! It's a great day in Amercian politics. Let's hope this new Democrat congress can put that lame-duck president, named George W Bush, in his place. And good on Nancy Pelosi on becoming the first woman to be elected speaker of the house. It's good to know that USA is no longer controlled just by white Republican males.

I was watching FOX News channel's coverage of this earlier today and I'm even more convinced that they are the Republican news service. I couldn't believe how much they were rubbishing the new Democrat congress.

I'm sure the new Democrat congress will be good for America and lets hope this means a Democrat president next year too.

Common sense RIP

This was recently emailed to me and it shows you how crazy political correctness is:

R.I.P.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His slow demise began under 'well-meaning' regulations and hidden agendas by various streams of political ideologists and social engineers who introduced the archrivals of common sense, namely "Political Correctness, Socialist Fascism, Feminist Ego-hysteria and Racial Bigotry.

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but over-bearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

He declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or a Band Aid to a student - but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglarwithin your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault. So can your children if you discipline them with a smack on their behind. You stand a good chance to become a criminal if you are a caring parent these days.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by three stepsisters; I-Know-My-Rights, Someone-Else-is-to-Blame, and I'm-A-Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.If you still remember him, pass this on.

If not, join the majority and do nothing.
